Author Biography
Deb Cushman is the author of fantasy books for children and teens, including her debut middle-grade novel, Frigg's Journey to Anasgar. She spent her early years immersed in stories, both reading and writing. In the third grade, she wrote, produced, and directed a historical play, while in the sixth grade, she entertained classmates with her whimsical spelling-word tales, often featuring songs and commercial breaks.
Currently married with three sons, Deb enjoys quality time with her granddaughters, whose inquisitive nature inspires her stories about resilient characters navigating their worlds. Her extensive experience in libraries across all educational levels fueled her passion for storytelling and led her to create a library in a school of the arts.
Alongside her literary work, Deb's short stories have been published in children’s magazines. Frigg's Journey to Anasgar, set to launch in September 2022, is the inaugural installment of her thrilling fantasy-adventure series, Chronicles of Nadavir.
Residing in the stunning Pacific Northwest, where the majestic forests, mountains, and dramatic coastline provide endless inspiration, Deb dreams of epic encounters with faeries, battles against orcs in Middle Earth, and journeys to magical lands like Narnia—all from the comfort of her living room.
